From Inception to Publication: Lessons from GWJEP's Journey

The GW Journal of Ethics in Publishing (GWJEP) was formed as a student-managed journal in 2020 and began publishing in 2022. Since then, the student committees and editorial board have experimented with different workflows and products to support the peer review process and ensure journal continuity between academic years. In this presentation, we will explore the planning and assessment behind these decisions and share what we would do differently if starting again. Attendees will gain valuable insights into journal operations and hear tips for success, as well as mistakes to avoid.
