Cultural and Social Contexts

Christianity’s message has spread across continents, races, and cultures. The way in which salvation is understood, preached, and embodied varies enormously between African, Asian, European, and American contexts[1][6]. Music, liturgy, theology, rituals, and symbols all can differ, reflecting the “blood type” of their local community, yet all are considered part of the same Body of Christ.
