Student Journal Symposium for Literary and Research Publications 2025

The Student Journal Symposium for Literary and Research Publications aims to foster dialogue and collaboration among undergraduate and graduate student-led journals. We will be hearing from ~65 students, faculty, librarians, administrators, and publishing professionals representing 36 undergraduate and graduate student journals from 28 universities in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

The 2nd Symposium will be held as a hybrid event:

  • Thursday, May 1, 2025, 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET • Virtual only
  • Friday, May 2, 2025, 9:00 am-3:30 pm ET • In-person and virtual (hybrid)
    Elliott School of International Affairs, on George Washington University’s Foggy Bottom Campus, and virtually via Zoom.

    The Student Journal Symposium is a Finalist for the SSP Epic Awards
    Publishing Education and Training Initiatives
    The Society for Scholarly Publishing has recognized the inaugural 2024 Student Journal Symposium as a finalist for the inaugural SSP Epic Awards, in the category of Publishing Education and Training Initiatives. Our GW Journal of Ethics in Publishing is a finalist in the Student Journal category. SSP invites all student journals to submit to next year's Epic Awards
