Student Journal Symposium for Literary and Research Publications 2025

The Student Journal Symposium for Literary and Research Publications aims to foster dialogue and collaboration among undergraduate and graduate student-led journals.

The 2nd Symposium will be held as a hybrid event:

  • Thursday, May 1, 2025, 11:00 am-4:30 pm EDT • Virtual only
  • Friday, May 2, 2025, 9:00 am-4:30 pm EDT • In-person and virtual (hybrid)
    Elliott School of International Affairs, on George Washington University’s Foggy Bottom Campus, and virtually via Zoom.

    Student Journal Symposium Schedule

    Our goal is to foster conversation on best editorial, leadership, and community practices and discover ways to support student publications. Topics will include sustainable leadership, ethics, diversity, grants, partnerships, navigating AI in submissions, and other topics. The Student Journal Symposium offers opportunities for students, faculty, and administrators interested or involved in student publications to engage in interactive workshops and round-table conversations, hear from plenary speakers and student panelists, and connect with fellow university journals in the DC area, throughout the United States, and internationally.
